Needing sermons for youth. Things they need to know. Also what to do to make effective youth meetings. From what I can tell… You really should study and come up with your own sermons for the youth. Take a course if you need to, but its important to relate the bible to where they are right now. Some helpful URLs are (all are www. ): youthpastor. Com youthministry. Com pastor2youth. Com thesourcefym. Com youth-ministry. Info Also see what resources your denomination has available. I’m Southern Baptist and Lifeway has a lot of helps (if you’re not SBC you can still use Lifeway) How you structure the meetings depends on what time you are looking at. If you have an hour and 1/2 then do an activity either as part of the lesson/sermon or as a warm up (it need not be related to anything spiritual if a warm up). Have fun with that. It is usually a good idea to put some contemporary praise music. If you don’t play guitar or keyboard or something, find out if a youth member does, and if one does play well, it might be a good idea to let them do it anyway. This can allow a youth member to begin to step into a leadership role which is important in spiritual development. Try to make the youth meeting more interactive, but don’t be afraid to get in depth in Scripture. Part of the youth ministry is to transition children into the adult membership of the church. In order to see what they need to know from a topical standpoint, get involved with their schools and especially with the youth parents. Then you can find out what is going on in their lives (note, sex and drugs (even if just alcohol) will ALWAYS be an issue for youth, but it is by no means the only issue, don’t focus too much on one thing). It’s always a good idea to go through a book of the bible in order. It keeps things varied and you get into passages that are new for many in the group.

Here are three ideas for youth ministry resources you can (and should) tap into as a youth worker. Timschmoyer. Com

I’ve been looking for a religious or spiritual group (online or physical) that includes Hittite Pagans/Hittite Reconstructionists. There are plenty of Near Eastern Pagan groups, but none of them seem to have any Hittite Pagans as active members. Anyone who can point me in the right direction, please do. I was happy to learn… Bahathu. I see you’ve joined the DatePalmForum. There’s at least one member who is a Hittite that has replied to your post. Some other members have also posted links to groups you might find a few. Have you tried looking at them yet? You may find what you’re looking for. Of course, you also have Canaanite, Hurrian, Amorite, Babylonian, Sumerian and Egyptian practitioners as part of the Near Eastern community aside from just the Hittites, so at least you will have members of other Near Easten religions at the very least. But I’d still recommend checking out some of the replies that other members made to your post. I’ll try searching for something in the meanwhile, and either post it on there on on here (no guarantees I’ll find anything, but I’ll try). I wish you well on your path. Shalamu, Balimelek Ben-el Edit: Sharruma is a Hittite member of the group (DatePalm). Edit: There is also the hittite_group on Yahoo Groups. While not specifically for practitioners of Hittite religion, it still might have some use to you.

The interest in channeling and mediumship is growing rapidly. More and more people are curious about their spiritual guides and angels and for good reason. With so much fear and uncertainty in the world, many are turning to their inner guidance for help, advice and comfort.

To connect with your guide, you’llneedpatience and any quiet time alone to make the connection. The benefits of channeling your guide include spiritual enlightenment, emotional healing, heightened awareness and increased creativity, to name a few.

The key to channeling your guide is focus. Most people have a problem with keeping their focus on one thing for any length of time. We’re always so busy running from one thing to the next and as a result, our thoughts are in constant motion. If you’re someone whose thoughts wander, listening to a guided meditation CD will help you to focus your thoughts on one thing and as a result, you will train your mind to become quiet. Once you’re able to train your busy brain to focus, you’ll be more successful in making a connection to your guide.

Channeling your spirit guide will not only raise your vibration and make the connection to spirit stronger, it also reinforces a friendship that was there all along. Here is an exercise that will help you connect:

Find a quiet spot where you will not be disturbed. Peace and quiet are essential when connecting with spirit, so pick a place that’s just for you.

• Sit comfortably with your feet on the floor and your hands in your lap

• Take a few deep, cleansing breaths in and out, in through the nose and out through the mouth, feel yourself relaxing

• On the next exhale, imagine roots growing from the bottoms of your feet, down through the floor and into the ground, connecting you securely to the earth

• As you exhale, imagine a ball of beautiful healing white light just above your head. As you breathe in and out, imagine this light slowly descending down around you to encompass your head, then your shoulders, torso, your hips, your legs and finally your feet

• You are now surrounded with the White Light of Love and Divine Protection. You are safe, you are secure and you are protected

• On the next exhale, imagine a beam of white light rising up from the top of your head and reach up into the sky, as high up as you can see

• Ask your guides and angels to help you raise your vibration to more closely match theirs. This will help you to make the connection

• Now, in the peace of the light, ask your spirit guide to come close to you. Sit quiet and pay close attention to how you feel

• You may sense a slight chill, a tingle, a sense of warmth or vibration, or a ringing in your ears. It’s different for everyone. Don’t worry if you don’t feel anything at first, for any it takes time

• Ask your guide their name. You may hear an answer or perhaps see something in your mind’s eye. Again, be still and remain open to any response

• When you’re done, imagine the light at the top of your head growing dim and then going dark. This will shut down your channel so it doesn’t remain open

The more you meditate and open yourself up to channel, the better your connection will become. If you don’t succeed at first, don’t give up. It’s different for everyone and once you make the connection with your guide, your life will never be the same.
